What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a class teacher to join our school or Post 16 department. This role is suitable to you if you have a desire and passion to work with children and young people with Autism, and to help them to achieve their full potential. We will consider applicants with the necessary experience, including primary practitioners or Early Career Teachers.

Springhallow School is a unique, all age (4-19), special school, for pupils with Autism and a centre of expertise in the field of Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Our Post 16 site is located in Greenford. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility and willingness to work with pupils across the age range.

Experienced special, and mainstream, teachers are welcome and are encouraged to apply. The post will involve leading a supportive team within a class setting, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution at a key and exciting point in the development of the school.

You will be: an outstanding and creative teacher; energetic, enthusiastic and committed to inspire and make a difference; motivated to work with young people with Autism and complex SEN.

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you: a positive, supportive and hard-working environment where everyone is valued; the opportunity to teach amazing and sometimes challenging pupils; excellent and personalised opportunities for continuing professional development.

Chair of Governors: Edmond McCudden

Headteacher: Matthew Sartin

Commitment to safeguarding

The school is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities and diversity. It has a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure for the Disclosure and Barring Service.

In addition, as part of the shortlisting process, we will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on the shortlisted candidates to help identify any incidents or issues that may have happened, and are publicly available online, and which we may want to explore with candidates at interview.
