Part time: WELFARE OFFICER Scale G4 – 26.25 hours per week - £17,044 per annum 3 days per week, term time only - (Weds, Thurs, Fri) 7.45am to 5.00pm (including 30 minute, unpaid lunch) Additional 5 paid days during the school holidays are available, if desired - to be discussed at interview

What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise the medical room and be the first point of contact for anyone who requires medical attention.
  • Manage and administer medications held in school – store securely, keep records up to date, monitor expiry dates and request replacements as required.
  • Ensure the school is provided with Individual Health Care Plans (IHCP) and keep accurate records of these
  • Ensure the accident report logbook and forms are properly completed and completing accident reports in line with RIDDOR regulations including records of hazardous materials usage
  • Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to show initiative, prioritise own work load and meet all deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Be a positive team player, working collaboratively and believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with
  • Be reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Be committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the principles and practice of equal opportunities
  • Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people
