What skills and experience we're looking for

Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar, Alford are seeking to appoint a full-time, or part-time, teacher of Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages on a one-year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from 1 September 2024. Candidates will need to be able to teach German, with the ability also to deliver French desirable. We are looking for a colleague who is:

  • A qualified teacher and outstanding practitioner.
  • A talented and dynamic teacher who can teach at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Passionate about their subject.
  • Energetic and able to inspire and motivate students.
  • Keen to join a successful and collaborative teaching team.

The Modern Foreign Languages currently comprises a subject leader, one full time teacher and three part time teachers. We work to a 25-period week with 1-hour lessons. Pupils currently learn either French, German or Spanish up to GCSE. We currently have small A level groups in French, German and Spanish using AQA for both GCSE and A Level.
