What skills and experience we're looking for
- Contributing to the teaching of Business (and Economics), as agreed with the Head of Department, according to the strengths of the person appointed.
- The planning and preparation of lessons.
- Contributing to the development and modification of Schemes of Work.
- Providing the students with regular feedback to allow them to make progress (in line with departmental policy), setting homework, and the assessment and record-keeping required by departmental policy.
- Attendance at departmental meetings and participation in professional development training.
- Undertaking such responsibilities within the Department as the Head of Department may reasonably require.
- Attendance at Staff Meetings, Curriculum/Pastoral Development meetings and Parents’ Evenings.
- Attendance at statutory In-Service training days and twilight sessions.
- Supporting the implementation of whole-school policies in areas such as the Staff Code of Conduct, behaviour, safeguarding, marking and feedback and health & safety.
- Undertaking appropriate pastoral responsibilities.
- Participation in the school’s arrangements for performance management.
- Undertaking the duties of a Form Tutor with a year-based tutor group.
- Such other duties as the Headteacher may reasonably require.
