About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Subject Lead for Drama to lead the team in the provision of an excellent, engaging and innovative curriculum.
The successful candidate will not only be passionate about their subject, and have exceptional subject knowledge, but also have a passion and drive to deliver and engage students in their pursuit of subject knowledge, skills and creative expression.

What will you do?
- Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters high expectations and achievement for all students.
- Collaborate with other Subject Leaders to integrate literacy, numeracy, and ICT across the curriculum.
- Create and execute an annual subject improvement plan in alignment with the school's goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage a motivated team of teaching and support staff.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while fulfilling wider professional responsibilities.

- Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant or related field, alongside QTS certification.
- Extensive teaching experience in high-performing schools with a track record of achieving high standards.

- Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive individual with a strong sense of personal responsibility and initiative.
- Possesses effective management skills, fostering stakeholder buy-in and encouraging creativity, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. Avanti Fields School is a new all-through school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018. The school is rapidly expanding, and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it moves into its new state of the arts building and continues its journey to outstanding.
Avanti Fields School; we are an all-through; 3–16 Hindu-faith school – part of the multi-academy, Avanti Schools Trust.
