SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

SEND TA

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

This is not a general class Teaching Assistant role and will involve working on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis with children with high level SEND needs.

We are looking for someone who is:-

  • Dedicated and resilient when supporting children who experience significant barriers to learning
  • Qualified to at least a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • An experienced teaching assistant with a range of knowledge on supporting children across different ages
  • Someone with experience of working with children with a range of SEND
  • Able to draw on a wide range of strategy to adapt and support learning
  • Committed to working in partnership with staff, parents and the community to promote inclusion and excellent opportunities for all.
