What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an exceptional Upper KS 2 Class Teacher and Maths Lead at Turves Green Primary School. Duties will include: -
- To lead, manage and develop the staff knowledge and pedagogy in Mathematics across all phases.
- To ensure consistently high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils across school.
- To have an understanding of and ability to implement monitoring and evaluation.
- To analyse data to evaluate Mathematic for the performance and achievement of pupil groups across school and be able to plan appropriate course/action for improvement.
- To develop and deliver effective professional development for staff.
- To be an excellent classroom practitioner, who can model, support and grow the teaching of Mathematics.
- Communicating and consulting, in accordance with current guidance and circulars, with the parents of the pupils they are assigned to teach.
- To provide a stimulating classroom environment which encourages pupils to become independent learners.
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in their own class.
- Be passionate about Maths.
- Be committed to their own professional development.
- Be an excellent communicator and team player, who works collaboratively and effectively with others.
- To contribute effectively to the work of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
