Thames Park Secondary School, part of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our growing History department. We are seeking a History teacher to enhance our student’s knowledge of History and make a positive impact on our learners. We are seeking new staff to join our Thames Park Family due to increasing student numbers. We want inspiring and aspirational teachers to support the growth of the school on our exciting journey.

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach History across the Key Stages and be creative, innovative and committed to raising standards. They will have excellent subject knowledge and will be joining a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to our ACE framework and approach to teaching and learning, which recognises the importance of Adaption, Creativity and Engagement in all lessons. Your passion for History will enhance a curriculum which is progressive and through our unique digital learning, supports the progress of our students. We are actively seeking a teacher with ambition. As Thames Park is a growing school, we would welcome a conversation about future career development opportunities and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate would be someone with the talent to inspire their students whilst having a passion for History and understanding the impact your teaching could have on our students, to make learning an enjoyable and inspiring experience. We require someone that has a great understanding of the curriculum and how they can support student development across the age and ability ranges.

The report states that "The positive ethos at the school is valued and pupils contribute towards this in the way they behave and the way in which they take on positions of leadership", at Thames Park, students "capably take responsibility to lead". The report goes on to describe how Thames Park has "a positive learning atmosphere" and how "pupils conduct themselves maturely". The report also states that "Staff enable pupils to consider and discuss the personal issues faced in adult life”.

Thames Park Secondary School. opened to Year 7 pupils in central Grays in September 2020 as a brand new school. Grays is a vibrant, dynamic, rewarding and inspiring place to work, and enjoys excellent transport links. The area is undergoing large scale redevelopment in Europe as part of the Thames Gateway Development. We are part of a £20+ million building programme and will have excellent, purpose-built accommodation with state of the art specialist equipment and facilities in September 2022. We are the newest school in the Osborne Co-operative Academies Trust which comprises of 12 schools.
