About us

Rothesay is a local authority-maintained nursery school, which is in the centre of Luton. The building consists of two large old houses, which have been converted and adapted over the years, giving the school a character of its own. We are proud to be a ‘Green Flag’ school and recognised for the work we do with Families with the ‘Investors in Families’ accreditation.

There are currently 140 children aged between 2 and 5 years old, on roll. The nursery has 48 spaces for funded 2-year-olds. We have 24 places for children with severe and complex needs.. We also provide extended care.

Our Family Worker works across all areas of the school, which is multi-ethnic and our families come from a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds. Our bi-lingual staff provide additional support to those children learning English as an additional language.
