What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly effective and inspirational EYFS class teacher from September 2024

We are looking for a teacher who makes learning enjoyable, stimulating, challenging and understands the needs of our youngest learners to join our welcoming team. The teaching post is initially in Early years but as a primary school there will be lots of opportunities to develop teaching skills across the primary age range.

What we would like from you:

  • Determination to ensure that all children have the opportunity to learn and make good progress.
  • An excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum and how younger children learn.
  • High expectations of what children are able to achieve.
  • Be reflective and well organised.
  • Be keen to work and develop as part of a team.

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you:

  • Happy, enthusiastic children who are keen to learn.
  • An ethos based on our core Christian Values of Love, Truth and Respect.
  • A warm community and incredible grounds.
  • Excellent professional development.
  • An experienced team of teachers with dedicated time to plan together as a phase.
  • A commitment to developing the whole child, a thematic cross curriculum approach which provides exciting learning opportunities.
  • An inclusive environment in which all children are valued, encouraged and nurtured.
  • A small EYFS class of 23 children with the support of a full time, experienced LSA.
  • Working alongside an experienced EFYS phase leader
  • A dedication to providing high quality Music and Sports opportunities for all children.

This post is an exciting opportunity for the career development of both teachers early in their career and newly qualified teachers. ECTs will benefit from excellent induction and mentoring support from a highly experienced teacher.
