What skills and experience we're looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD.
- Experience of teaching in EYFS.
- Experience of managing teaching resources.
- Awareness of current developments in Education and the implications of these.
- An understanding of good inclusive education and the SEN Code of Practice.
- Well-motivated, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Someone who is motivated to make a difference to the children we serve.

Briar Hill Primary and Nursery School is an 3-11 school, based in the town of Northampton. In May 2016 the school was judged as good by Ofsted. We are now on our way to outstanding as we have continued to ensure rapid progress is made to improve the quality of education for all pupils.
Briar Hill is therefore seeking to recruit staff who will have high expectations of all pupils and will work with our skilled team to secure improved outcomes and life chances for the young people in our community. Driving this improvement is a commitment from leaders that teachers are the experts in their field and they should be enabled to teach well planned units of the curriculum, ensuring students acquire knowledge; without the distraction of unnecessary workload, excessive observation and scrutiny or low value administrative tasks.
Leaders have created a positive and caring ethos are committed to professional development of all through an evidenced based approach to learning. The school has a warm approach to discipline and high expectations of pupils.
The town of Northampton has excellent transport links to the A14, M1, M11 and M6. There is a train direct to London in under an hour.
