  • Experience of teaching across the ability and age range for KS3/KS4 in a state funded school
  • A strong track record of high quality maths teaching
  • A continued commitment to own professional development
  • A commitment to collaboration and partnership within and across schools
  • Critical engagement with educational research
  • A strong track record of leading and embeddingchange in maths departments with diplomacy, patience and empathy
  • Experience of leading mathematics professionaldevelopment
  • A commitment to establishing and embeddingTeaching for Mastery in secondary schools
  • Ability to establish a safe and stimulatingenvironment for students, rooted in mutual respect
  • An ability to motivate young people and relatepositively towards them
  • To be committed to promoting good progress andoutcomes for students in maths
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and takingresponsibility for promoting high standards of literacy through oracy and the correct use of standard English
  • Have a clear understanding of the needs of allstudents and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them
  • Facility to travel around the region
  • Experience of child-safeguarding issues andsuccessful use of measures that promote and ensure the safeguarding of children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Evidence of working effectively in a team

  • As a trust we subscribe to a number of websites to support staff planning and reduce worklpad, including Spar. Mathsbox and Mathspad
  • Teacher cover - We have Cover Supervisors reducing the amount of cover required by teachers and PP periods are on timetables and not used for cover purposes where feasible
